Mehdi Nabavi
Mehdi Nabavi (1978) is an Iranian contemporary artist living in the UK. He is mostly famous for
his artworks are composed of broken mirrors and glass shards on wood which reflect the world in
fragmented pieces that shift and flicker into a thousand moving images of light and shadows.
He inaugurated his first solo exhibition by exhibiting some of his paintings in Tehran in 2010. Since
then, he participated in tens of group and solo exhibitions in art galleries, art fairs and
auctions in Iran, UAE, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Lebanon, Kuwait, Italy, USA, Portugal,
Netherlands and Canada, and his artworks have also been exhibited at museums such as Tehran
Museum of Contemporary Art, Kunst Haus Rapperswil Museum-Zurich, Salsali private Museum-
UAE, and Rijks Museum-Amsterdam.
